Kathmandu : The Ministry of Health and Population has stated that serious attention has been drawn to the news published in the media about the purchase of vaccines.
A statement issued by the Ministry of Health states that the Serum Institute India will provide on million doses of vaccine as soon as the capacity expansion is hampered.
The government has stated that the government of Nepal has promised to procure 5 million pairs of Covshield vaccines from India.
The Department of Health Services has also claimed that there is no truth in the news involving the Ministry of Health and Population as it will decide on the purchase of vaccines.
A statement issued by the spokesperson of the ministry, Prof. Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, stated that the company will supply supplies as soon as the capacity is expanded due to fire and obstruction in capacity expansion at the company.
