Kathmandu : Halesi Tuvachung Municipality of Khotang has built a 32 bed isolation center in the hotel. A 32 bed isolation center has been set up at Mahadevsthan in Halesi-Tuachung Municipality-7 in view of the epidemic of Covid-19.
Mayor of Halesi Tuachung Municipality Evan Rai said that an isolation center has been set up in 16 rooms of the Royal Hotel to treat the active infected.
As per the decision of the meeting of District Covid-19 Crisis Management Center (DCCMC) Khotang on Bhaisak 13, the municipality has set up and isolation center at the hotel on Thursday. Hotel operator Prem Shrestha has provided hotels to the municipality to build isolation by paying water, electricity and internet charges.
Mayor Rai said that a 32 bed isolation center has been added in Halesi as the five bed isolation at the temporary Covid Hospital set up at the health post at Durchi in Halesi-Tuvachung Municipality-5 is insufficient.
The municipality has stated that the isolation center has been set up to prepare for the safe keeping the treatment of the corona infected in case of the outbreak of Covid-19. Adequate management of oxygen is not done in the isolation center.
Mayor Rai said there would be no shortage of oxygen for those suffering from complex infections.
All 10 local levels of the district are constructing isolation centers in their own way as the infection of corona virus (Covid-19) with new variant is spreading rapidly.
Some local levels have revived the old isolation center as a new isolation center for the treatment of those actively infected with Covid-19, while others are building new isolation centers.
