Kathmandu : The province police office, Janakpurdham, has recovered 700 oxygen cylinders hidden from different districts of the state and distributed them to the hospital.
According to SP Krishna Prasai, spokesperson of the province police office, the police have recovered 132 full oxygen cylinders and 568 empty cylinders stocked in industries, factories, carpenters, gas welding, shops and warehouses in the state.
The recovered oxygen cylinders were handed over to the concerned oxygen plant industry, hospitals and official distributors and used for health purposes, said Prasai. Oxygen cylinders of that amount were hidden in Dhanusha, Mahottari, Bara and Rautahat.
“We have recovered that number of oxygen cylinders in the last three days,” state police chief DIG Dhiraj Pratap Singh told reporters. “This campaign will be continued in the state to prevent oxygen shortage. “Oxygen is the most important thing for corona sufferers right now,” he said.
SP Prasai said. “We are taking action against those involved in the Oxygen Hiding Act in accordance with the Infection Prevention and Control Act.”
