Kathmandu : The government has extended the prohibition in most districts of the country to control the corona epidemic. Accordingly, domestic flights have been suspended until further notice.
Earlier, the government had decided to stop scheduled domestic and international flights by mid Bhaisak. The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) had on Monday handed over a letter to the airline extending the prohibition on international flights till May 31.
In the case of domestic flights, it has been decided to close until further orders, said NEA Director General Rajan Pokharel. “The government will take a decision based on the state of the epidemic,” he said. “For now, flights will be closed until further notice.”
Meanwhile, chartered, medical and cargo flights will be allowed on a regular basis.
