Prohibition order in Kathmandu Valley till Jestha 13

Kathmandu : The prohibition has been extended for 15 days in Kathmandu Valley. A meeting of the Chief District Officers of all the three districts of Kathmandu Valley has decided to extend the prohibition till Jestha 13.

Similarly, the meeting also decided to stop all the construction work except the national priority development project, said Lalit Basnet, Acting Chief District Officer of Lalitpur.

Basnet said that programs such as weddings, bratbandhas and banquets would be stopped at the party palace and more than 10 people would not be allowed to participate in such programs at home.

A prohibition was issued for the first time in Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur districts from Bhaisak 16 to 22 after the rapid spread of the corona virus. After that, the prohibition was extended for one more week till Bhaisak 29. A day before the prohibition was lifted, a meeting of the detainees added 15 days.

Under the prohibition, drug stores are open all day and essential food and vegetable stores are open till 9 am. Vehicles other than essential services are also banned.
