Kathmandu : As the corona infection is on the rise, the District Administration Office, Chitwan, has extended the prohibition imposed from Bhaisak 15 to Jestha 13.
The prohibition issued in the first phase is coming to an end from 12 noon tonight in Chitwan. In the order issued by Chief District Officer Premlal Lamichhane, it is stated that the time of prohibition has been extended as per the decision of District Covid Management Center.
Lamichhane said that the decision to extend the prohibition for another two weeks was taken with the conclusion that the first phase of the prohibition had helped in reducing the spread of corona infection. The order stipulates that no one should leave the house or walk except during urgent work, use a mask if necessary for urgent work, maintain physical distance and adhere to prescribed public health standards.
Similarly, not to take services other than takeaways from hotels and restaurants, not to attend physical activities in all educational institutions including universities, campuses, schools, not to conduct educational activities including reading and examination, not to conduct wedding, fasting and other ceremonial programs in hotels and party palaces. It has been requested in the order not to have more than 10 participants.
Orders have been issued not to allow more than 15 people to participate in the funeral rites, not to operate long and short distance public transport, and not to hold gatherings at religious places including monasteries, mosques, monasteries and churches except for regular worship. The order urges everyone not to go on jeep safaris and cruises in the park. Similarly, the order stipulates time for purchase of vegetables, fruits, food grains, chicken eggs, chickpeas, fish and meat from 6 am to 9 am.
Commercial banks will be allowed to operate only on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays by following the prescribed criteria for the deployment of minimum staff for pharmaceutical, petrol pump, dairy industry, telecommunication, internet, electricity, garbage management, drinking water supply related services. But other financial institutions and cooperatives are not allowed to operate.
If this order is not complied with, action will be taken as per Infectious Diseases 2020 and Local Administration Act 2028.
