Kathmandu : The number of deaths due to the epidemic has been increasing day by day due to the second wave including the new variant of corona virus. Kailali district in the far-western state bordering India has also been badly affected by the second wave.
There is an increase in the number of deaths due to lack of oxygen supply in the district. A total of 10,441 people, including 3,373 women and 7,168 men, have been infected with the second wave of corona infection in Kailali district from Baisak 1 to 31.
So far, 6,937 people, including 2,074 women and 4,863 men, have been discharged.
Shivaraj Joshi, information officer at the District Disaster Management Committee, said that a total of 189 people, including 38 women and 131 men, lost their lives during the period, including 39 sent to Kailali from other districts except Mahoyal, Chure and Kailari.
