Kathmandu : The prohibition in Gulmi has been extended till Jestha 15. A meeting of the District Covid-19 Crisis Management Center has decided to extend the prohibition till 12 noon on Jestha 15.
The prohibition order issued in the district from the night of Bhaisak 18 was till Jestha 4. As the second wave of corona infection is spreading rapidly in Nepal, a prohibition has been added in the district as a precaution.
During this period, shops selling essential food items, milk, vegetables, fruits, fish, meat, water, gas, petroleum products and construction materials will be open only from 7 am to 9 am on Jestha 7, 10 and 13. Similarly, tippers carrying construction materials will be allowed the designated areas.
Citizens are urged not to leave their homes except for urgent work during the restraining order. Hospitals and pharmacies will be open 24 hours a day.
The administration has stated that action will be taken against anyone violating the prohibition or obstructing the observance of the order.
In order to implement the decision of the prohibition, it has been decided to seek the assistance of the Nepal Police and the Armed Police Force as per the additional requirements as per sub-section 2 of section 6 of the Local Administration Act 2028.
More than 1,000 people have been infected with the second wave of Covid in the district.
