Crime Branch raids on Sanitizer industry in Imadol, Lalitpur

Kathmandu : Police have raided a sanitizer company in Imadol, Lalitpur on Susupicion of producing hand sanitizer harmful to human body. SSP Chandra Kuver Khapung of the Metropolitan Crime Branch told that a factory producing sanitizers called ’75 Plus’ under the banner of ‘RCP Industries Parsa’ was raided.

A team led by DSP Durgaraj Regmi of the Metropolitan Crime Branch raided the factory at Sital Heights in Imadol.

The sanitizer called ’75 Plus’ has been found to contain a chemical called ‘methanol’ which is very harmful to the human body.

“Testing in the lab has shown that harmful chemicals have been mixed.” said SSP Khapung. “We have also raided other dealers of the company.” A large quantity of harmful sanitizer has been found in the dealer. Industry Director Ashish Pyakurel has been arrested by the team of the Division.
