One arrested for beating ambulance driver

Kathmandu : A person has been arrested for beating Lal Bahadur Khatri, an ambulance driver of Nepal Red Cross Society Gulmi branch. Sagar Bohora, 25, of Dhagithum in Resunga Municipality-1 of the district was arrested by the police on Thursday.

He had beaten the ambulance driver Khatri on Tuesday night. According to Purushottam Prasad Pandey, Information Officer at the District Police Office, Gulmi, Bohora was arrested on the basis of a direct request from the victim’s family.

The injured Khatri is currently undergoing treatment at Lumbini Medical College, Palpa.

Information Officer Pandey said that Bohora would be kept in custody for a few days and after discussion, a decision would be taken on whether to file a case or not.
