Kathmandu : Preparations are underway to extend the prohibition in Kathmandu Valley for another 10 days.
A meeting of the chief district officers of the three districts of the Kathmandu Valley held on Tuesday afternoon has discussed about extending the prohibition for another 10 days as the rate of corona infection is decreasing due to the prohibition. In addition, preparations have been made to partially open some areas to make it easier.
Chief District Officer of Bhaktapur, Prem Prasad Bhattarai, informed that discussions were held to allow department stores selling food, groceries and food only to be opened till 9 am. He said that only discussion was held in today’s meeting and a decision would be taken on Wednesday morning.
Also, due to the suspension of work in the construction sector, there has been a discussion about allowing construction work by keeping workers at the construction site.
A prohibition was issued in various districts of the country, including the Valley, from Bhaisak 16 after the high rate of corona infection.
