Kathmandu : Unilever Nepal has joined hands with the Nepal Army in the ‘Clean Mountain Cleaning Campaign-2021’ as part of its commitment to make the world a sustainable shared habitat.
The vision of a cyclical economic system for a garbage-free world has been at the heart of Unilever’s strategy.
The company said in a statement that the dumping of garbage was causing the untimely death of wildlife and was destroying the beauty of the mountains. It also endangers the health of the world’s environment.
Out of the 5,020 kg of garbage collected from Dhaulagiri Himal under the campaign, 300 kg of decaying garbage has been handed over to Dhaulagiri village municipality while 4,720 kg of non-decomposable garbage has been handed over for recycling and management.
