Police raid fake cosmetic factory at Sano Bharryang in Kathmandu

Kathmandu : Police have raided a cosmetic factory at Sano Bharryang in Kathmandu.

A team from Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Campus raided a factory run by Indian citizen Rajan Jaiswal. Jaiswal, a resident of Thankot, used to sell inferior cosmetics by sticking strikers of well-known brands, said Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Spokerperson (SP) Ramesh Basnet.

A team from the Department of Industry, Commerce and Consumer Protection has also reached the factory. The Commerce Department is preparing to seal the factory in the four-storey house. Jaiswal had earlier been involved in a revenue fraud case.
