Prohibition order has been extended in Surkhet till Asar 17

Kathmandu : The prohibition issued in Surkhet has been extended till Asar 17. A meeting of the District Covid-19 Crisis Management Center (DCCMC) on Thursday decided to extend the prohibition by one week, said Chief District Officer Chhavilal Rijal.

“Even if the rate of infection in the district decreases, there is still a risk. It is better to add a prohibition until the chain of infection is broken, so the prohibition has been extended till Asar 17” said Prajia Rijal.

According to him, the shops that used to be open from 6 am to 11 am every day except Saturday will now be open from 6 am to 2 pm. Banks and financial institutions and government offices will also be allowed to open during the prohibition period.

Similarly, food shops, construction materials, hardware, electronics, utensil shops, book shops, fancy shops and workshops can also be operated, the administration said.

Hotels, restaurants and snack shops will be completely closed. However, the administration has stated that home delivery will be allowed. The prohibition on the operation of non-essential vehicles has been maintained during the prohibition.

Employees of government offices will also be allowed to operate vehicles only from 9 to 10:30 in the morning and from 5 to 5:30 in the evening.
