Kathmandu Valley’s prohibition decision will be made tomorrow

Kathmandu : No decision could be taken on Sunday regarding the prohibition issued in Kathmandu Valley.

Chief District Officers of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur are scheduled to take a decision on Monday.

Kali Prasad Parajuli of Kathmandu, Prem Prasad Bhattarai of Bhaktapur and Dhundi Prasad Niraula, Chief District Officer of Lalitpur discussed the modalities of the prohibition at the District Administration Office, Kathmandu on Sunday evening.

Kathmandu Chief District Officer Kali Prasad Parajuli told that discussions were held on whether to go for the cu.rrent modality or adopt another model. Chief District Officers have also discussed about opening public transport.

“We have discussed the issue of public transport,” said Parajuli. “We will take a decision on Monday.”

In the Valley, the prohibition announced from Bhaisak 16 was made more lenient with effect from Asar 8 and a strict system was implemented in private transport. Shops have been opened on the basis of fences in the valley.
