Public transport will also run in Gorkha, but long distance vehicles will be banned

Kathmandu : Public transport will be operated in Gorkha. A meeting of the District Covid Management Committee held on Friday has decided to allow private and public transport to operate only within the district. This decision will be implemented from Asar 20.

Drivers, co-drivers and passengers must wear masks, gloves and face shields, said Shaligram Sharma Poudel, coordinator of the committee and chief district officer. He informed that the vehicles should be disinfected on a daily basis and the monitoring should be done by the concerned transport business organization. Long-distance vehicles have been banned from operating until further notice.

Shops for daily necessities like food, vegetables, fruits, workshops, construction materials shops will be open only from 5 to 11 in the morning. Poudel said that other shops including stationery, furniture, fancy and gold and silver will be open from 10 am to 2 pm.

The meeting of the committee has also decided to continue the prohibition till Asar 29. The prohibtion order issued earlier is coming to an end on Asar 19.
