Man arrested for trying to bribe police with Rs 500

Kathmandu : Medani Regmi, 52, of Birtamod Municipality-3, Jhapa has been arrested last night for trying to bribe Rs 500 in cash with the police on duty at Kamalamai Municipality-6.

While checking the vehicle pass of the vehicles at BP Highway Police Check Point, Sumo (May 1 Cha 6683) which was not allowed to go to Kathmandu from Jhapa was taken under control along with the driver after the driver tried to give the cash.

Police is conducting further investigation in this regard.
