Police raid expired goods warehouse, arrests two

Kathmandu : Police have arrested two persons for distributing expired goods with new dates. Among the arrested are Abhinas Agrawal and Mahavir Gujjar.

On the basis of special information, a joint team of the Crime Branch and the Commerce Department raided the warehouse at Sano Bharryang in Kathmandu.

The team has recovered more than 10 million expired items from the warehouse. The recovered items include cosmetics, air fresheners, shampoos, hygiene items, etc.

Labels of department stores including Big Mart, Bhatbhateni and Sales Berry have also been recovered from the expired goods.

The team has sealed the warehouse.
