Death of a child due to snake bite

Kathmandu : A five year old boy has died after being bitten by a poisonous snake in Gaonpalika-6 of the district.

Five year old Hemraj Bhandari died from the bite of a poisonous snake while playing in the yard this evening, said Rabindra Chand, Joint Spokesperson and Inspector at the District Police Office, Doti.

The boy succumbed to his injuries at the District Hospital, Doti, police said. The district hospital has stated that the number of snake bite patients is increasing due to the ongoing summer season in the district.
