Kathmandu : Of the 1.6 million doses of vaccine provided by the Japanese government under the Covax facility, 208,700 doses have arrived in the capital today.
At a brief ceremony held at Tribhuvan International Airport, a representative of the Japanese Embassy here handed over the vaccine to a representative of the Ministry of Health and Population. Earlier, nine lakh vaccines were brought in the first phase on Shrawan 23 and 24.
The rest of the vaccines will arrive on Sunday and Monday, according to the Ministry of Health and Population. According to the embassy, Japan has provided 1.614 million vaccines under the Covax facility.
