Kathmandu : Police have arrested two persons from Birgunj in Parsa district along with illegal money order. Among the arrested are Brij Kishor Giri, 45, of Bharat and Ram Pukar Patel, 50, of Dhobini Gaonpalika-2 of Parsa.
Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Parsa (DSP) Omprakash Khanal said that they were arrested from Janakitol after coming to Nepal with the money. Police have recovered 1,063,000 Nepali rupees and 1,600 Indian rupees from the Inerwa Bazaar in Bihar, India.
Police arrested them from Janakitol Area Police Office. According to DSP Khanal, Giri and Patel, who were arrested on Saturday evening, are being investigated for violating the Financial Transactions Act-2075 BS.
