A girl died after being swept away by a river

Kathmandu : A girl has died when a river overflowed between Fakphokathum and Deumai in Ilam district.

Rai, who is studying in class 4 at Falante Secondary School in Fakphokathum Village Municipality-6, was washed away by the river on Monday while returning from school.

According to the District Police Office, the body was found lying on a rock while searching for Rai.

His body has been brought to the district hospital for postmortem today.
