Kathmandu : An Indian national has been found dead on the banks of the Mahakali River today. The deceased has been identified as Sanjay Jyala, 40, of Pipli in Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand.
Jyala’s body was found on the bank of Mahakali River at Dasharathchanda Municipality-10, Tirkhandeni, Baitadi, said Police Spokesperson, Inspector Darshan Khadka. Locals had informed the police after seeing the body floating in Mahakali at around 7 in the morning.
The body of the deceased has been kept at the District Hospital, Baitadi. According ot the police, the body of the deceased will be sent to India after the arrival of the relatives as the relatives of the deceased have been informed in coordination with the Indian security personnel.
The body will also be examined in India. Jyala is said to have gone missing in Mahakali when a car crashed in Hanseshwar, India yesterday.
