Man arrested with Rs 8 million without source

Kathmandu : Police have arrested a man with Rs 8 million without disclosing the source.

According to the Police Headquarters, Chitra Bahadur Pun Magar, 36, of Baglung Galkot Municipality-10, Kathmandu, was arrested last night along with Rs 8 million.

Magar, who was deployed by the Metropolitan Police Circle, Thimi, has taken Magar under control after receiving information that money was being traded near Lokanthali Manhara Eye Hospital.

A scooter (Ba 49 Pa 8565) and Rs 3 million in cash were recovered from him and an additional Rs 5 million was recovered from his room during the investigation, according to the Police Headquarters.

He has been sent to Lalitpur Asset Laundering Department for necessary action, police said.
