Eight injured in jeep accident in Dolpa

Kathmandu : A jeep has met with an accident in Dolpa, a mountainous district. According to the Karnali State Police Office, nine persons were injured in the jeep accident.

The jeep (No 1 Ja 975) heading towards Tripura Sundari Municipality-1 Supane from Dunai Bazaar met with an accident at Thulivheri Municipality-9 on Sunday at around 3 pm.

According to the spokesperson of the State Police Office, Superintendent of Police Madhav Prasad Shrestha, the jeep has fallen about 15 meters from the road. He said that nine people including the driver of the jeep were injured.

The injured have been identified as Bishnu Shrestha, 38, Ashok Sarumagar, 38, Buddhabir Lama, 22, Suresh Shrestha, 30, and Ramesh Gautam, 38, of Hetauda Municipality-9, Makwanpur district. Similarly, Sushil Raj Giri, 36, of 10, Jeevan Sharma, 31, of 9, Kiran Adhikari, 38, of 7 and Junkosh Shahi, 20, of Thulivheri Municipality-9 of Dolpa have been arrested.

According to Gharti, the condition of three injured is critical and the condition of six others is normal. The injured have been shifted to Dunai District Hospital for treatment.
