Kathmandu : The Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ), Rupendehi, has protested against the Lumbini state government’s provision of grants only to media outlets close to it.
In a press release issued today, the federation said that the government has discriminated in allocating the budget for the welfare of hte people and demanded that the media should be distributed proportionally so that the media across the state can benefit from it.
The current government led by Kul Prasad KC has also reduced the amount of the journalist welfare fund brought by the previous government.
