Kathmandu : Nepal Police has arrested a fugitive Indian natioanl in a banking case.
The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of the police has arrested 45 year old Rajharan Sah of Bharat Motihari this afternoon after he was fined Rs 950,000 by the Patan High Court in a banking case.
Bureau Superintendent of Police Kamal Thapa informed that Sah, who was absconding after being sentenced to seven days imprisonment and a fine of Rs 95,000 as per the decision of the Patan High Court on Magh 26, 2077, was arrested from Kamalpokhari in Kathmandu this afternoon.
Sah, who was arrested, had committed a banking offense by handing over a cheque of Global IME Bank Limited in a fraudulent manner as there was not enough balance in his account. According to Superintendent of Police Thapa, Sah was produced before the Latitpur District Court today.
