Kathmandu : One person has been killed in a fight at a wedding in Bhajani Municipality-9 of Kailali district.
The deceased has been identified as Basanta Chaudhary, 25, of the same place. Police said that he was beaten to death on Sunday night.
Dinesh Bisht, 20, Ganesh Singh, Laxman Baral, 25, Kishan Badaila, 23, Pradip Karki, 23, and Deepak Awasthi, 25, were also present at the wedding. As the dispute escalated, Basanta was seriously injured in the beating. He died while undergoing treatment at Ghodaghodi Hospital, Sukhkhad Kailali and Medical College, Kohalpur.
Police have arrested four persons involved in the beating and are conducting further investigation.
